SupraNet Communications, Inc. Celebrates 23 Years in Business

On September 1, 2017, SupraNet Communications, Inc. celebrated its 23rd anniversary of delivering fast, direct and reliable Internet services to businesses in Wisconsin.

In 1994 SupraNet aspired to set a standard of excellence as a service provider, and to become a well-respected and engaged corporate citizen. 23 years later SupraNet remains responsive to the needs of more than 400 clients, provides relevant and scalable services, and has established a reputation for social responsibility and community involvement.

In the past year SupraNet has increased its Internet service offerings with greatly expanded fiber optic and wireless networks to better serve clients and have a greater reach in the Madison area. SupraNet’s managed services offerings also expanded with the addition of managed Wi-Fi, VPN and firewall services. SupraNet also grew their peering network in Minneapolis, MN and San Jose, CA to better connect with other important networks.

SupraNet remained active in the community by participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters 2017 Bowl for Kids’ Sake event, and continued to provide complimentary Wi-Fi at the Dane County Regional Airport. SupraNet continued to invest in the community at their own expense in order to ensure greater access to the Internet. By building fiber into numerous Madison Public Libraries, SupraNet is providing an outlet for all community members to have access to fast and reliable Internet for professional and personal development. In addition to the libraries, SupraNet has made a socially conscience commitment to the Madison community and has built fiber into city water towers to improve water utility metering and help better monitor water usage.

The Forward Festival, co-founded by SupraNet's Founder and President, Bryan Chan, celebrated its eighth anniversary in August with 50+ events over eight days which focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. During the Forward Festival, High Tech Happy Hour (HTHH) celebrated its 16th anniversary. HTHH, a popular monthly networking event, is co-organized by SupraNet and Yahara Software. Together, HTHH and Monona Terrace presented another year of PechaKucha events to the community with a wide variety of topics.

SupraNet proudly served as the technology sponsor for WTN Media’s Fusion 2017 CEO-CIO Symposium. Having established deep community roots, SupraNet continues to give back to the community through involvement with The Overture Center for the Arts, MMoCA, Madison Ballet, Dane Buy Local, Downtown Madison Rotary, DMI, and many local Chambers of Commerce.
